Ask the Perinatal Psychiatrist - An Evening Clinical Discussion- Webinar
This evening clinical meeting is an interactive presentation and discussion focusing on medications for pregnant and postpartum parents and the unique role of the perinatal mental health therapist in supporting new parents. This presentation will not be an overview of medications during the perinatal period, and instead will focus on common medication related treatment issues that arise for clients and are often asked of the therapist- these include common experiences of beginning medication, common/uncommon side effects and managing side effects, when and how to taper off medications, addressing symptoms that may come back, managing side effects of tapering, when medication doesnt help, and more.
Additionally, Dr Bhat will draw from her practice and address the common questions and concerns she sees from parents. Attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance via the registration form, as well as come with questions. This is not a case discussion, but common scenarios are welcome.
