The Thomanerchor (St. Thomas Choir) of Leipzig, Germany, was founded in 1212. Johann Sebastian Bach served as Thomaskantor, director of the choir, from 1723 to 1750. Luther Memorial Church, Madison, Wisconsin, is honored to host the choir during the first concert tour of its 800-year history. The choir will sing from the church's rear balcony, just as it performs at St. Thomas.
