20% Theatre Company Twin Cities presents Q-STAGE: a new, experimental series dedicated to providing a stage for LGBTQ artists and performance-makers to showcase new work.
VENUE: Nimbus Theatre, 1517 Central Avenue NE, Minneapolis 55413
SET "C" FEATURES: "Singing OUT" - Anna Sutheim Many young lesbians find their musical voice listening to Ani DiFranco, k.d. lang, Tegan and Sara, etc... This one found it listening to Strauss, Ravel, Mozart and Handel. Thus began a decade-long love affair with the opera, in all its drama, passion, and - yes - queerness.
AND
"I DO! I DO!" - HOMO HOTDISH (featuring Chase Broderick, Ryan Patrick, and Jessie Scarborough-Ghent; directed by Jared Zeigler) Sean and Gregg, longtime college friends, were surprised how quickly gay marriage came to Minnesota. They were even more surprised when their other best friend, David, announced his engagement to a man they'd never met. Now the two of them find themselves in an unfamiliar position... as Bridesmaids. _____________
