Macbeth
&Sons Theatre's first production is an exploration of human nature, the structure and affect of power, and how we choose what we mean to each other.
A modern staging of Shakespeare's Macbeth, we are using a variety of movement techniques and cross-gender casting to allow the audience greater access to these characters and their story. The body is the center of the work we're doing - what is happening in the limbs, as well as in the head and heart. The sound, the breath, the pleasure, the pain, the emotion, the effort. In this show particularly, these characters feel so extremely - they cut their hearts out and show them to us.
&Sons Theatre's mission is to create insightful, intentional, uncompromising, unconventional theatre. We want to challenge audiences with unfamiliar theatre that includes them and invites them to be part of the conversation.
We want professional theatre to be accessible and sustainable, and will be offering multiple ticketing options for Macbeth:
Less-If-You-Need: these tickets are general admission and cost $18.00
More-If-You-Can: these tickets will include preferential seating and a few additional perks for $40.00
