First Viewing begins with the dramatic flair of a Shinto blessing at 10:30 a.m. A Shinto blessing is a formal ceremony that's been conducted in Japan since ancient times. The blessing will usher in auspicious ki life energy for a successful new year and will be conducted by Reverend Koichi Barrish of Tsubaki Grand Shrine of America in Granite Falls, WA.
*Advance tickets are required for the Shinto Blessing ceremony. General admission is included in the advance tickets to the Shinto ceremony.
The 45-minute complimentary tours of the Garden are available with general admission at 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. These tours deepen the experience of strolling the garden by sharing insights on the gardens history, design and spiritual principles. Please meet in front of the ticket booth.
