We the People, a celebration of culture - series pass
We have more in common with our neighbors than we know, especially when there seem to be so many cultural differences. Join us as we celebrate the diversity in our culture and learn in this series of 4 workshops. Feb 24 features Lubna Alam. A Muslim womans perspective on living in the USA, the Hijab, and Islamophobia today. Mar 2 features Rabbi Stephen Fuchs. Different Jewish responses to the resurgence of anti-Semitism and the passive acceptance of hatred. Mar 30. features Mr. Muhammad, Andre Blaine, Stacy Lee-Williams. Challenges for people of color in SWFL, the presence of racist iconography in public, and facing issues of law enforcement. Apr 6 features Arlene Goldberg. Growing visibility & acceptance, continuing challenges for the LGBTQ community in SWFL. Moderated by noted author, freelance journalist, and activist Ella Nayor. Each workshop is $30 or patrons may purchase the entire series for $100.
