Keaton Simons is truly what the Los Angeles Times terms "a triple threat." He captivates audiences with an authentic voice, compelling and soul-baring songs, and a true command of both acoustic and electric guitars in every genre. He has also worked as a writer, musical director, singer, bassist and guitarist with such notable acts as Gnarls Barkley, Snoop Dogg, Josh Kelley and Tre Hardson (The Pharcyde). Keaton's bluesy singer/songwriter meets pop/rock music has been heard in many feature films and television shows including Private Practice, Sons of Anarchy, NCIS, Young and the Restless and VH1's Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, on which he also made a personal cameo alongside his step-father, actor Eric Roberts, who was a patient. Earlier this year, Keaton released his sophomore full-length album Beautiful Pain, which includes co-writes with friends and peers Jason Mraz, Jason Reeves, and Glen Phillips (Toad The Wet Sprocket) among others. Keaton Simons is currently promoting Beautiful Pain, including a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where he performed the single "Beautiful Pain," an acting cameo on Showtime's Californication, and as a guest judge on NBC's The Winner Is. Keaton returns to Boston for one night with world-renowned percussionist Yahuba "El Pollo" Garcia (Ryan Montbleau Band, Martin Sexton).
Daemon Chili was spawned by Michael Dion, a native of Lowell, MA and founder of the Lowell-based American roots band Hot Day at the Zoo. Michael was the guitar/harmonica/percussion player, principal songwriter, and lead vocalist of Hot Day for ten years before striking off on his own to create Daemon Chili.
