The Art of Distilling - Featuring Julia Nourney & Local Pacific Northwest Distilleries
Join us for the fun and educational Art of Distilling Event at Cedarbrook Lodge on Saturday, February 8th! Take advantage of the opportunity to meet and discuss local whiskeys with Julia Nourney and representatives from several local distillers. Julia is an author and judge of international spirits competitions in Europe, Asia, and the United States with more than 25 years of experience in the industry. Since 2007 she has held the title whisky expert of the year by the Scottish distillery of Glenfiddich. She is also one of just 35 authorized Cognac Educators worldwide by the French Cognac Office (BNIC). The whiskey selections will include distinctive offerings from Copperworks, Westland, Oola, Crater Lake, Scratch, Woodinville & Admiralty. Beginning at 3:30PM we will gather for a panel discussion with our experts and an audience Q&A where we will cover a wide-range of topics. Following the Q&A we will have a whiskey tasting and a reception featuring cured artisan meats and other small bites. At 6:00PM we will sit down to a delicious, family-style dinner prepared by Chef Adam Stevenson and his team consisting of numerous outstanding courses as outlined below:
