Dedicated to the creation of music for the stage, David MacIntyre has collaborated with some of Canada's most intriguing artists, playwrights and choreographers and he has created operas on words by writers Jean Anouilh,Edna St. Vincent Millay, and Elizabeth Barrett Browning
On Radio Songs: "As a composer who loves singers, I'm always looking for words that matter and I've found them in Robin Blaser's short, elegant poems. His words leap from the page and invade hearts and minds in equal measure. A capella for three singers (the beginnings of a crowd), "Radio Songs" are clarity amidst the chaos, pure and simple, transmission and reception without a connecting wire.
The performers, mezzo soprano Fabiana Katz, soprano Catherine Laub, and tenor William George, each have unquestionably diverse and successful careers and are extremely excited to be bringing David's Radio Songs to Roedde House.
