Bindlestiff Family Fun Day!

[Please note that we've had to cancel the March 1st performance, and we are currently looking for a new venue since Bindlestiff must undergo unexpected repairs. Please stay tuned for new venue announcement]

Bindlestiff Studio is proud to present our first children's show for all families of SOMA & beyond! Come be part of a child-friendly event that will be entertaining for ages 4 -12 years old and for teens & adults too!

Bindlestiff Artist-in-Residence, Ramon Abad, will lead a puppet-making workshop for all kids to make their own puppet that they can take home.

After the workshop, all the kids & their puppets will be invited to join a Puppet Parade into our beautiful main stage where the Bindlestiff Puppet Crew will tell a 30 minute story entirely with puppets!

Light refreshments and snacks will be on sale in our concessions.

The events are sponsored by grants from the CA Arts Council Youth Arts and the SOMA Community Stabilization Fund through the San Francisco Mayors Office of Housing & Community Development.

Dates & Times:
Sundays - March 8, 15 (plus more TBA)
All programs will begin promptly at 1pm and will last approx. 2 hours

Admission:
All shows pay what you can.
Suggested price: $5 per ticket.
NO ONE will be turned away for lack of funds.
Separate ticket required for each parent/child.

Bindlestiffs Youth Puppetry Workshops & Final Big Show
For four Saturdays starting in April, Ramon will lead a kids puppetry workshop with a final show in the afternoon of May 2.

Working with the Sama Sama Collective, he will guide a group of kids from 7 to 12 years old to make and perform their own puppets in a show that will be part of the Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Centers (APICC) United States of Asian America Festival (USAAF) 2020.
