Free Chickenshed Players Trial Class--Ages 6-8, 9-13+
Join us for a free trial class at Chickenshed Players, our inclusive theatre program for kids and teens!
Chickenshed Players is our semester-long, age-grouped series of Saturday theatre classes, where kids and teens prepare to perform in the U.S. premiere of a new musical: THE TIGON AND THE LIGER! Participants will learn character development, acting, movement, music, and more.
Inclusive theatre means EVERYONE can play--no auditions, and our professional teaching aritsts ensure that kids and teens of all abilities and backgrounds work together to create great theatre. Chickenshed NYC is the American cousin of London's Chickenshed Theatre Company, which has pioneered inclusive children's theatre for over 45 years. It was founded in a chicken shed--hence the name!
A free trial class is available to newcomers on either February 1 or February 8. CP1 (6-8 years) is 11:00-11:45 AM, and CP2 (9-13+) is 12:30-1:45 PM.
We hope that after you try us out for free, you'll sign up for the rest of the semester! CP1 classes are $400 for the semester; and CP2 classes cost $450. Scholarships are available.
Dates for the remainder of the semester are:
February 1, 8, 22, 29 March 7, 14, 28 April 4, 25 May 2 (Performance)
