Celtic Music Workshop: Kevin Henderson (fiddle) and Neil Pearlman (piano)
Shetland fiddler Kevin Henderson and American piano player Neil Pearlman will teach a 2-hour workshop in Gainesville, Florida, on Friday, February 21st 2020, at 6:30 pm.

The cost for active workshop participants is $35, observing participants $20. The evening will include a short set by Kevin and Neil before the duo begins teaching. This exciting new transatlantic collaboration between Shetland fiddler Kevin Henderson and American Pianist Neil Pearlman brings together two stand-out musicians in contemporary Celtic music.Their forthcoming album will heavily feature original tunes and compositions from both Henderson and Pearlman. This new recording will be available in early 2020.
A standard bearer for the rich fiddling tradition of the Shetland Islands, Kevin Henderson is known for his work with Nordic Fiddlers Bloc, Boys of the Lough and several other major Celtic bands. Kevin Hendersons fiddle playing is all effortless grace and skill (Kit Bailey -BBC2 Folk & Acoustic)
Neil Pearlman is recognized throughout the Celtic music world for his unique approach to the piano, resulting in his work with such figures as Alasdair Fraser, Darol Anger, Wendy MacIsaac, Katie McNally and many more. A tremendous pianist (Bruce MacGregor-BBC Radio Scotland, Traveling Folk).
