In Concert: Kevin Henderson and Neil Pearlman
Come witness an exciting new transatlantic collaboration between Shetland fiddler Kevin Henderson and American Pianist Neil Pearlman. This fresh duo project brings together two stand-out musicians in contemporary Celtic music.Their forthcoming album will heavily feature original tunes and compositions from both Henderson and Pearlman.This new recording will be available in early 2020.

A standard bearer for the rich fiddling tradition of the Shetland Islands, Kevin Henderson is known for his work with Nordic Fiddlers Bloc, Boys of the Lough and several other major Celtic bands. Kevin Hendersons fiddle playing is all effortless grace and skill (Kit Bailey -BBC2 Folk & Acoustic)

Neil Pearlman is recognized throughout the Celtic music world for his unique approach to the piano, resulting in his work with such figures as Aladair Fraser, Darol Anger, Wendy MacIssac, Katie McNally and many more. A tremendous pianist (Bruce MacGregor-BBC Radio Scotland, Traveling Folk).

Their concert will be at the Historic Thomas Center in Gainesville, Florida, on Thursday, February 20th 2020. Doors open at 6:30 pm. The show begins at 7:00 pm.

Tickets:

General Admission - In advance here on Brown Paper Tickets, $20 + $2 fee; at the door night of the concert for $22.

Students In advance here on Brown Paper Tickets, $15 + $2 fee;
at the door night of the concert for $17.  

NOTE: Kevin Henderson and Neil Pearlman will be leading a 2-hour WORKSHOP in Gainesville, Florida, the following evening, Friday, February 21st 2020, at 6:30 pm. Cost for active participants is $35, observing participants $20. This will include a short set by Kevin and Neil before the duo begins teaching. Come prepared to be enriched by the beautiful music of the Shetland Islands.
