Mosaic 101 or 101 MINI
Students have the option of choosing between the Mosaic 101- a 4-5 hour class where the student creates a 10 x 10 framed mosaic mirror or 6x12 plaque or the "Mini", more like a three hours class making a 4x12 or 6x8 plaque. Copper Cat Studio owner and lead mosaicist, Katie gives a very detailed lecture on the basics of design, assembly, materials & grouting. All materials are included and feature tesserae from Katie's personal collection -glass tile, metal tiles, rocks, glass gems, shells, marble, stone,ceramic tile, stained glass, handmade tiles and many other finds from around the country and world. Feel free to bring in pieces to add. Students have the option of returning to the studio at a later date to grout or taking dry grout home to complete the project. If you think you may want to continue on with mosaics, this is the class that you want to take!
*Our workshops are appropriate for ages 12 to adult*
Please note our Cancellation Policy: Preregistration is required for all classes including payment in full. A full refund is available for cancellations up to 7 days before class, half refund 2-7 days before class. No refund within 48 hours of class. If there is a waiting list or you can find someone to fill your spot, we will offer a full refund.
