WTS February Lunch Program - Expansion of Aviation
Aviation connects people, cultures, and supports the global economy. The aviation sector has been experiencing a rapid growth in Seattle, propelled by the growth of travelers and freight services, lower air fares and new airline routes. Sea-Tac International Airport has moved up to become the eighth busiest U.S airport, and in 2018, served nearly 50 million passengers.
Please join WTS for a presentation on how the regional airport system will support the existing and future demand. The speakers include:
Jeffrey Brown, Port of Seattle, Director of Aviation Facilities and Capital Programs
Arif Ghouse, Paine Field/Snohomish County, Airport Director
Jason Thibedeau, PSRC, Principal Economic Development Manager
PSRC will provide insight on the Regional Aviation Baseline Study, which was funded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), analyzing the aviation forecast, existing and planned capacity, and airspace constraints in the region. The presentation will also highlight near term projects and vision for SeaTac, the addition of passenger service at Paine Field, and future planning.
When: February 27th, 2020 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Networking begins at 11:30 am; the program begins at noon and ends at 1:00 pm.
Where: One Union Square Boardroom. 600 University St., Seattle, WA 98101
Directions: The Boardroom is located on the bottom floor of the One Union Square Tower. Enter the building from the entrance adjacent to Mod Pizza and continue straight ahead past the escalators. The Boardroom is located directly behind the escalators. Event signage will be posted.
Cost: $15 for students/public agency staff and DBE/MBE/WBE certified firms; $20 for WTS members; and $25 for WTS non-members (plus Brown Paper Tickets service fee). Please RSVP by purchasing your ticket through Brown Paper Tickets. Registration will close on Tuesday, February 25th, 2020.
