The Naked Sun at The Living Room at 35 East
The Naked Sun's honest rock was born in a basement in South Philadelphia in 2011, the product of an online ad placed by singer/songwriter Drew Harris and answered by Philly music scene veterans Tim Campbell and Dave Gladney. Eight years and three more band members later, the indie folk-rock outfit has released their third EP and fourth studio album, Avec la Verité, Vous Avez le Droit d'Aimer.
The band enlisted the help of various local studios (Miner Street Recordings, the Gradwell House, Berlin Studios) to record their latest offering. They celebrated the release with an intimate hometown acoustic performance, and they're seeking additional opportunities to support the new music, including shows, festival appearances, and radio airplay.
The Naked Sun released their debut full-length, "War with Shadows," in 2017, earning them local appearances at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, World Cafe Live, and Boot & Saddle, plus a number of shows in surrounding cities, including New York, Boston, D.C., Wilmington, Pittsburgh, Burlington (VT), and many more.
The band has begun work on their next full-length release, slated for 2020, and is currently pursuing label interest and licensing opportunities.
