Workshop: Waterwheel & Broken Daisy with instructor Jeanette Walton

Wednesday and Thursday, September 16 & 17, 2020; 10:00am to 4:00pm Wednesday and 9:30am to 4:00pm Thursday

$85 for GAC Members, $95 for non-members.
Registration is for both days. It includes Waterwheel and Broken Daisy.
Contact Judy Riddle to purchase the required patterns for a $39 materials fee. Preparation of pattern pieces and fabrics will be necessary before class. Early registration is strongly recommended.

Learn to paper piece the Judy Niemeyer way! Judy is known internationally for creative, innovative paper piecing designs, and her process and organization tips can be used on all your quilting projects. You will be guided by Certified Instructor, Jeanette Walton, who has taken training workshops with Judy and has access to all the up to date information on Judys patterns and techniques!
Waterwheel (40 x 40) is a Cut Loose pattern, aimed at the paper piecing beginner who wants to try out a fast project or learn a new technique.
Broken Daisy: Learn to make these adorable placemats. Patterns includes papers to make four placemats, 14 x 17. Dont be afraid of the curve! Youll feel like a pro after you match the gentle curve! Come try out a quick project or learn a new technique.

Jeanette is a Judy Niemeyer Certified Instructor and an award-winning quilter. Quilting is in her DNA. Both her grandmother and mother were hand quilters. In 2008, she took a class with Judy Niemeyer, worked on the Amazon Star and has been a Judy Groupie ever since. After training with Judy for several years, she was certified to teach Quiltworx patterns in 2014.
In addition to teaching at local quilt shops and guilds, Jeanette enjoys teaching with Quilt Seminars at Sea, the Houston Quilt Festival, and Empty Spools Seminars at Asilomar. Her biggest reward is the satisfaction of seeing amazing works of art from beginning students who previously had said, I could never do that. For more information, see the following links:
