St. John "TRY" ATHLON presented by EAGLES/WILDCATS ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB
Welcome to our 3rd annual St. John "TRY" ATHLON! Presented by our EAGLES/WILDCATS ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB.
We are excited to offer this event in our beautiful town of St. John located in the lovely Palouse. This is not your typical triathlon! Here is a quick description of how the day will lay out!
1. TRAP SHOOTING. This will start at our very own St. John Gun Club on gun club road (yes, small town) Shooting closes at noon.
Here you will bring your shotgun and shoot a total of 25 clay pigeons and do your best to hit as many as you can. Not a professional trap shooter? No worries. This is a fundraiser and for pure entertainment value! We will have shotgun shells for purchase at the facility.
2. GOLF. This is technically the only time you will have to change venues...again, small town so a total of 4 or 5 blocks away is the GOLF portion of the event. Golf 9 holes by yourself or with a group (we think groups with fun friends is best). Shot gun start. Keep track of your scores!
3. HORSE SHOE TOSS. Last portion of the day is a quick hop, skip and a jump over to the fairgrounds (throw a rock and hit it close) for our HORSE SHOE throw! This will be a 1/2 pit set up with individuals throwing a total of 9 shoes to get as many points as you can. 3pts. for a ringer, 2pts. for a leaner and 1 pt. if its touching the stake.
EACH PERSON DOES EACH EVENT to be considered for prizes.
Keep track of scores on our super awesome score cards and turn in at the end of the big competition. If you are a CHEATER, DON'T CHEAT! We will have some amazing prizes for our top winners and want you to walk away feeling as if you gave it your best...or what we like to say....you "TRIED', for the Eagles/Wildcats Athletic Booster Club.
We will be selling ADULT BEVERAGES so in order to partake in that portion of the day you will be required to have your legal photo I.D. You can sport a super cool bracelet that says you are old enough! 21 and OLDER!! NO I.D. No adult beverage!
Had too many adult beverages?? Dry camping is available for you to bring a tent or camper and sleep the day off! Grass area at the fairgrounds, NO CHARGE but NO HOOK-UPS! We do have restrooms though! Bonus! They are FREE!
Want some yummy FOOD throughout the day? Good! We have a couple options for food also.
Bring your extra cash for food, beverages or donations! An ATM is located downtown but with limited hours.
We are a non-profit organization that is looking to support our SJEL sports programs through exciting and fun events such as this....

Not participating in the event (sad face) but would like to join us for a party on the patio? You are WELCOME! Food and beer garden and most likely some great tunes!
