Pilgrim Fall Jam: Sweet Sounds for Hungry Souls
The Pilgrim Arts Outreach Committee announces the Pilgrim Fall Jam: Sweet Sounds for Hungry Soulsa gathering of Mighty Minnesota Music Stars in a Benefit for Pilgrim LutheranSunday, September 29, at 6:51pm in the Sanctuary.
Members of Cantus, Minnesota's male vocal ensemble, will present a cappella works from Dvorak, Janacek, Josquin Des Prez. Get a taste of the great music and musicians that Pilgrims enjoy throughout the year, jammed into a single concert night. Celtic Contemplative Service favorite
Michelle Kinney and her husband Chris Cunningham write original music for cello and guitar. Fiddler Sarah Pajunen often performs in the Nordic Contemplative Services, as well as notable ensembles Kaivama and FinTango. Pilgrim member Emily Kahnert will present music for solo cello. Members of the Twin Cities Horn Club bring the sounds of summer. And come hear a special performance by Pilgrim singers and instrumentalists!
Tickets available in Fireside Lounge between services on Sundays (cash or checks) and through brownpapertickets.com: $10 in advance, $15 day-of-show.
All proceeds support the ministry of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Concert will run approx. 90 minutes, with a brief intermission. Don't miss this marvelous lineup of Mighty Minnesota Music Stars in the beautiful acoustics of the Pilgrim Sanctuary.
