Hailed as a masterwork of modern American drama, Death of a Salesman won six Tony Awards, including Best Play, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play, the first play to ever win all three awards.
Director Michael Glazier and cast bring this classic story of struggle and reconciling the pursuit of the American dream with one's own sense of reality to the local stage. Originally premiering in 1949, the tale of Willy Loman's last days as he and his family come to terms with their true place in the world, is as relevant today as it was 64 years ago.
Death of a salesman marks New Renaissance Players 13th full length production since the company premiered in February 2011, and it's 5th installment in their Broadway revival series. As with all NRP productions, 100% of the profits benefit the Shea theater to aid in operating and improvement expenses.
