CTRD 2020 New Skater Bootcamp - April-May
An 8-week bootcamp taught by the CT All Stars, offering a glimpse into the roller derby community and providing training for tryout potentials.
Thursdays from April 2nd to May 21st*, 7:30-9:30 P.M. Dates are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. Space is limited.

*All participants will be given an assessment to determine if they are able to participate in the bootcamp. If you do not meet the safety requirements, a full refund will be issued.

Are you interested in roller derby tryouts, but feel unprepared? Do you want to see what roller derby is all about? Do you enjoy refereeing? Do you simply want to cross roller derby off your bucket list? If so, sign up for our 2020 New Skater Bootcamp, hosted by the skaters of CT Roller Derby!
This bootcamp is an on-skates program providing close training to prepare attendees to join our league or just get fit! Taught by the CT All Stars, you will learn the basic skills of roller derby that will be assessed at our May 28 tryout.
This is the first of two bootcamps that will run before tryouts. If you are interested in refereeing/officiating and do not know how to skate, you are welcome to sign up for the bootcamp.

DETAILS BELOW:
Cost is $125* for all 8 weeks, including skate a rental. This fee is non-refundable.** Gear is available on a first come first serve basis and will require sign-up after registration. Full safety gear is required to participate. Mouth guards are NOT included or available through CTRD and must be purchased before bootcamp as they are mandatory.
Please be prepared to bring the following: - MOUTHGUARD - Skates - Helmet - Elbow Pads - Knee pads - Wrist guards
All participants must be over 18 and have primary health insurance.
*June tryout fee will also be waived for any bootcamp participant.
**All participants will be given an assessment to determine if they are able to participate in the boot camp. If you do not meet the safety requirements, a full refund will be issued. In addition, refunds can be issued via Brown Paper Tickets PRIOR to start date, but will not be issued after registration closes.
