Foster City Lion Kris Bakshi Education Fund Party
GIVE A LITTLE - EAT A LOT!
Please join us for an evening of good food, drinks, music and fun as we raise money to help level the playing field for local students in the world of college admissions!
Last year, we started the Foster City Lions Club Kris Bakshi Education Fund, in honor of past president Lion Kris Bakshi. Through the generous donations of Lion Kris family, friends and the Lions Club, we were able to give scholarships to the first class of 35 students who received an instructor-led SAT preparation course, including books and materials - at no cost to the student! And, several Lions members mentored the students in preparing college essays and college applications. The course is valued at over $1,000 per student, but we received a special rate of $342 per student, making our ability to impact a young persons life even more achievable.
Now, we are raising money for the next 35 students to go through the class in preparation for the March 14th SAT.
You dont have to do big things to make a big change in someones life. Together, we will tear down one barrier for 35 students- something that could possibly change the trajectory of their lives!
So please join us for some great Indian food, drinks, dessert, music and fun as we work together to change lives.
