Dance Workshop with Stephania Woloshyn from Lemon Bucket Orkestra
Join us before the concert for a 1 hour FREE dance workshop to get you in the dancing mood!
Since early childhood, Stephania Woloshyn has trained extensively in Ukrainian folk dance, performing with several of Torontos leading Ukrainian dance companies, as well as attending specialized workshops under the instruction of the Virsky National Dance Company of Ukraine, and The National University of Arts and Culture in Kyiv. She has also had 15 years of ballet training, and has focused her recent studies on the art of belly dance, and Ukrainian Village Folk Dancing. Stephanias main focus is on learning, choreographing and teaching various traditional world folk dances and is currently pursuing studies in various Balkan dance forms. Her mandate is to work closely with both dancers and musicians, to experience the purest form of music-dance collaboration in a live-music setting.
When she's not dancing, Stephania works as a Toronto-based multi-disciplinary designer with a focus on Interior Design and Set Design for film. She has obtained university degrees in Architecture from the University of Toronto and Industrial Design from the Ontario College of Art and Design, and in her spare time enjoys exploring her other passions including jewelery and costume design, painting, singing traditional Ukrainian folk songs in her other msin musical group, Blisk.
This workshop is open to all ages and all levels of dance experience! Beginners welcome and encouraged!
