Randall Thompson: Requiem

NYCHORAL presents the East Coast premiere of an arrangement for double chorus and double string orchestra of Randall Thompsons Requiem. Performed only a few times during Thompsons life, the Requiem was never recorded until 2014 when David Hayes and The Philadelphia Singers made the performance and subsequent World premiere recording their mission. Both received rave reviews from national and international press. Hayes commented, It is our fervent hope that Randall Thompsons Requiem, a highly neglected masterpiece, will finally earn a place in the repertory of choruses everywhere.
