Joseph Daley Tuba Trio w/Tani Tabbal
The Howland Cultural Center, Beacon's unparalleled arts, cultural and entertainment venue, now celebrating its 40th Anniversary in bringing superb musical events to Beacon and the Hudson Valley, is pleased to present the Joseph Daley Tuba Trio with very special guest, Tani Tabbal.
Elysium Furnace Works continues its 2020 season of live concerts at The Howland with a performance by the gifted tuba and euphonium player Joseph Daley and his accomplished Tuba Trio. An acclaimed instrumentalist and composer Daley---whose past musical associates encompassed everyone from Anthony Braxton to Taj Mahal, the Kronos Quartet to Natalie Merchant, among many others---is joined in this group by Warren Smith (drums/percussion) and Scott Robinson (reeds) and, for this performance will feature a very special guest, Tan Tabbal on drums and percussion. They will explore the improvisational concepts of the visionary composer and multi-instrumentalist Sam Rivers, with whom Daley performed with for many years, and to whose memory this group is dedicated.
