Story League Contest: Dunces
IMPORTANT: Seating cannot be guaranteed for any ticket holder after 9:00. Line forms approx. 8:30 and doors open at 8:45. SEE PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE AGREEMENT ON TICKETING PAGE.
Submit your 100-word story synopsis here for a chance to compete: http://www.storyleague.org/submit-your-story. Deadline is Friday, September 13 at 3 o'clock. Our 3 expert judges will consider all story idea submissions and decide which stories they most wish to hear. You will be notified by Monday, Sept. 16, whether you are guaranteed to go on. One storytelling slot will be selected randomly at the contest from on-the-spot-submitted names in a jack-o-lantern.
You will have 7 minutes to tell a true personal story about dunces. At 6 minutes you will receive a signal that you only have 1 minute left. No notes or props are allowed.
The Judges' favorite will be announced at the end of the night and will receive $100 cash as a prize. The audience will also select its favorite! Both winners go on to compete in a Story League Tournament where the prize jumps to $250!
