Lara Herscovitch & Sophie Buskin
Lara Herscovitch is a gem of a modern American troubadour. A singer-songwriter-poet, performer and advocate, her highly original contemporary folk is spiced with blues, pop and jazz influences. She writes, sings and leads with authenticity, integrity, humor and heart, and delivers performances that inspire, inform, uplift and entertain diverse audiences.
Raised in the heart of New York City by two accomplished musical parents, singer-songwriter Sophie Buskin started studying piano at age three and first set foot in the studio at four. She caught the harmony bug and began working extensively as a child jingle singer, featured on many TV/radio spots. She wrote her first song in 2009 and began steadily writing and performing, often alongside her father, David Buskin. A decade later, Sophie is based in Brooklyn and rapidly making her mark on the folk, Americana, and bluegrass genres.
Lara and Sophie will each perform solo sets and then perform together for the final set.
