Full Moon Story Slam
Story Slams are competitions that put a dual emphasis on content and performance - encouraging storytellers to focus on what they're saying and how they're saying it. They provide a wonderful opportunity for friends and strangers alike to gather together and share true stories from their lives.
At its February Full Moon Story Slam, The Actors Studio will host an evening of stories based on the theme "First Time. You'll be treated to true stories that might inspire you, give you a tickle, bring a tear to your eye, or make you ponder. We never know what stories will be told, but we can guarantee a very special evening of shared experiences!
Got a story? We'd love to hear it! No story? Come anyway for a great evening!
The three criteria for the judges:
1. The story has an arc - a beginning, a point of change, and a resolution.
2. Presentation of the story.
3. Time (no longer than five minutes) and connection to the theme.
