The Jewish Art of War: A Historical Survey Jews and war are not subjects that are frequently thought of together. This series looks at war and violence in three chapters of Jewish history, Biblical, Roman, and Modern, to see how Jews have understood the use of armed conflict to accomplish political and religious ends.
The Covenant with the Gibeionites in Joshua 9: What to do with Biblical Violence Sunday, Oct 6 7:00 PM8:30 PM Violence, including divinely-sanctioned violence, is not an incidental or peripheral feature in the Bible, and it cannot, nor should it, be glossed over. In this talk we examine how we can deal with these texts today. Presenter: Dr. Matthias Henze
