Join Ray on an odyssey through Brooklyn that will either end in salvation, or self-destruction. Are we the sum of our past actions, or can we rise above them to become our better selves?
My Story, My Voice (3/7, 7 pm
This is a one-woman play and a true story about a young British girl of Nigerian descent who is cast out of her family home into the world of a children's home and multiple foster parents, only to return to the troubled home of her own parents. It is set in 1970s England. The play brings into focus some of the struggles and pressures that might be experienced by children of immigrants in western society.
The Pollinators~Film (3/8, 3 pm)
Billions of honeybees get trucked around the US pollinating what we eat. The Pollinators tells of this migration showing our food supply is at risk.
Night Train: An Evening of Storytelling (3/13, 7:30 pm)
Hosted by Joe Charnitski (two-time Moth StorySlam winner) and featuring Adam Wade (New York Times critics pick, 20-time Moth StorySlam winner, PBSs Stories From the Stage), as well as other gifted storytellers, this will be a night of funny and thought-provoking personal stories.
Blind Visionaries (3/21, 7 pm)
This is a multi-media performance featuring video projections of stunning images created by the blind and visually impaired members of the Seeing with Photography Collective, combined with audio interviews of the photographers speaking about their experiences of living with blindness - all accompanied by original music performed by the Daniel Kelly Trio. Audience members will create a new photo with members of the Collective that will be projected on screen during the concert!
