THE EVE OF JACKIE
San Jose Multicultural Artists Guild/Tabia African-American Theatre Ensemble presents Award-winning Broadway actor Chester Gregory in The Eve of Jackie where he channels the dynamic spirit of Jackie Wilson: Mr. Excitement, one of the most influential artists in rock n roll history, live in concert on September 29, 1975. It is an evening where Wilson reveals his personal journey in show business. The show features hits such as "Lonely Teardrops," "To Be Loved," and "Higher and Higher. Chester Gregory has performed on Broadway in Hairspray, Tarzan, Cry-Baby, Dreamgirls and Sister Act. He has received numerous awards including the Joseph Jefferson and NAACP Theatre Award.
