Join African and Caribbean theatre company Tangle in a tale of skilful manipulation as they bring their distinct aesthetic to this much loved classic dark comedy.
Volpone is rich filthy rich, but for him the glory of accumulating wealth is more thrilling than its simple possession. In lust for more, he and his assistant, the rascal Mosca, swindle three of the wealthiest men in the city, each believing they are his sole heir. Daring trickery and avarice ensues in this bitingly fresh version of Ben Johnsons comedy.
Inspired by Southern African Township Theatre, a multi-skilled ensembleof three actors perform to an enticing musical backdrop of jazz-fusion, delivered with Tangles trademark dynamism.
