John Roberts in Concert at the Patrician Hall Folk Series
John Roberts is a singer of folksongs from the British Isles, born and raised in Worcestershire, England, of a Welsh family. He currently lives in Schenectady, NY, and has been an active member of the Northeast folk song and dance communities for over 40 years, well known for his work with Tony Barrand, Nowell Sing We Clear, Marlboro Morris & Sword, and solo performances. Singing solo, he often accompanies the songs with concertina or banjo, or sings them a cappella.

He has performed at various folk festivals including the Mystic Sea Music Festival, the Newfoundland Folk Festival, New Bedfords Summerfest and Working Waterfront Festivals, the San Francisco Sea Music Festival, the Fox Valley (IL) Festival, and the Old Songs Festival. As well as a solo CD, Sea Fever, he has recorded albums with Tony Barrand, Nowell Sing We Clear, Debra Cowan, and with the trio Ye Mariners All - all available from Golden Hind Music.
