Art Time Presents: New Year, New Murder
Chicago, New Years Eve - 1928
Finally, a truce has been reached between the three rival families that own this town. The oldest family, the Rigatonis, have run every successful restaurant in the city and believe that cookery is the highest artform. The Dellarte family, known for their theatrical nature and bombastic performances, believe that performing arts are the only valid artform. Lastly, the Fresco family, known for collecting and selling only the greatest paintings and sculptures, believe that visual art should be at the top.
After heated negotiations these warring factions have decided to draw up a truce, but tensions are high. Should anything go awry (like a murder) everything could crumble
The signing of the truce is set for New Years Eve at the Chicago Dance Hall. All key members are expected to be in attendance along with their supporters and anyone else who just wanted to get a nice bootleg drink and dance the charleston.
FEATURING: Harley DellArte played by Molly Kunz Daughter of Mini Dell'Arte. A young and talented dancer with a secret.
Mini Dell'Arte played by Amanda Charney Mother of Harley Dell'Arte. A famous actress, just got back from her Europe tour.
Foggy Fresco played by Joel Clark Brother of Grizzly Fresco, new money who loves to party almost as much as he loves murals.
Grizzly Fresco played by Greg Grano Brother of Foggy Fresco, mountain man who just wants to paint a bird and be left alone.
Teri Rigitoni played by Chris Taniguchi Husband of Lillian Rigitoni, chef and fireman who just wants people to enjoy his cooking. Misses his 6 brothers who were recently murdered.
Lillian Rigitoni played by Bobby Guard Wife of Teri Rigitoni, a wine taster who enjoys only the finer things in life.
And YOU! Each member of the town will align with one of the families and can try to help solve the murder by getting information from the main characters.
This event is a fundraiser for Art Time Presents, an organization which produces monthly art events and new works by women, non-binary, trans, and gender-nonconforming artists. All proceeds for this event will help us pay for our office and event/rehearsal space at Thymele Arts.
