Ray Conte, known in most circles as The Count, is trying to rise above his past as a compulsive gambler, petty criminal, and flimflam artist. But on a day when everything is about to fall into place for Ray, an encounter with an old acquaintance from the Elizabeth Group Home for Wayward Boys threatens to destroy him. Join Ray on an odyssey through Brooklyn that will either end in salvation, or self-destruction. Are we the sum of our past actions, or can we rise above them to become our better selves?
