Paquito Forever
Paquito Forever is a one-man show by Joan Vázquez, returning to the New York cabaret stage after his debut at Feinstein's/54 Below with his Sondheim show Something's Coming.
The show is an intimate and personal account of the real-life adventures of Paquito (Paco) Alonso, a gay Catalonian growing up wanting to be a dancer in Franco's postwar Spain but grafting his way out to reach the bright lights of Broadway and beyond.
Vázquez -accompanied on the piano by writer Gerard Alonso and directed by Victor Álvaro- presents an evening of stand-up comedy, flamenco, blues, jazz, dancing and a tiny little bit of cross-dressing.
