A Gala Conversation: Shakespeare in the 21st Century
On the eve of Friday, February 7th, 2020, the Library Society's Gala weekend opens with a panel discussion "Shakespeare in the 21st Century." The talents of bestselling author and sometime actor, Bernard Cornwell, together with the leading London Director and onetime Artistic Director of Londons Globe Theatre, Dominic Dromgoole, and the Casting Director for NYs Shakespeare in the Park, Kate Murray will share their perspectives on casting, directing, acting, and the importance of Shakespearean drama in our current world.
This will be a one of a kind lecture with three impressive panelists that you won't want to miss. Bringing Shakespeare into the 21st century has been a journey that has taken many twists and turns. All will be delighted in this rousing evening panel conversation.
