Weekend w/ Ellis Berry
Join us as we celebrate the Labor day weekend with Ellis Berry, with two of his most powerful stage plays. FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AUG. THE 30th & 31st. 2013 AT 8PM we have: The Scottsboro Boys Trial: In 1931, in Paint Rock, Alabama, nine black teenage boys were arrested and falsely accused of raping two white girls. They were found guilty and sentenced to death for a crime that never occurred. One of the greatest tragedies of injustice in the American Justice System, They were known as the Scottsboro Boys. This play tells the story, the conviction and the sentencing of three of those boys: Haywood Patterson, Ozzie powell, and Willie Roberson. On SUNDAY, SEPT. 1st, 2013 AT 5PM we have: The N Word: An amazing story of a young African American male as he struggles to find his identity. Both shows are executive-produced by TRACIE COLLINS
