Interweaving dance, live music, poetry and sacred text; the stories of three visionary women gather communal waters from the depths of the universal well. The stories of Mary, Maryam, and Miriam from the Christian, Muslim, and Jewish traditions illumine the commonality and interconnectedness of these three traditions through a shared story and archetype. Drawing on traditional expressive arts and ritual, contemporary theater and dance technique, emotionally engaging the audience in a rich image of a shared heritage.
"A brave and beautiful new work at a significant time." Carmen Carnes, Senior Editor VoiceofDance.com
"Peretz has synthesized a myriad of styles, from many shades of modern dance to the most ritual-infused Sufi movement, with passion, craft, and vision...... to achieve stellar results." Micheal Smolens, Composer
