Solo Sundays (TUESDAY 9/24/13)
_________________________________________________________________________
DUE TO A SCHEDULING CONFLICT SOLO SUNDAYS WILL OCCUR ON A > TUESDAY < THIS MONTH. _________________________________________________________________________
KENNY_YUN ---------- "Mom Spilled Guts on My Taters" > Please don't start Mom! It's bad enough sitting in a smorgasbord, eating taters. Hope people aren't staring. How can I get her to stop? Oh no, I can't believe mom's going there!
JILL_VICE --------- "The Tipped and The Tipsy" > It's just another day for three regular customers as they sit in their usual seat at their usual bar and order the usual from Candy, their usual bartender. But things can't stay like this forever. One of the regulars, an ex-boxer named Pat who is rapidly deteriorating from his alcoholism, is getting cut off. As the fellows rush to his defense, a little white lie mistakenly invokes an obscure bar tradition. Will Pat get his drink?
BRUCE_PACHTMAN ------------- "Oprah Called Me Yesterday To Say That She Wishes She Could Be As Positive As I Am" > Bruce just couldn't get out of bed. Again. Which can only mean that his depression has returned. His friend Janey recommended he start a "happiness journal". That seemed like a misguided idea but he tried it anyway and much to his surprise his life turned around. Romance returned, work looked promising and he was finally able to obtain his favorite pistachio granola at Rainbow Grocery. But how did Terri Garr and the Smuin Ballet become central to his life? People are actually more mystified why a major dance company would create a ballet for him then his romance with a famous actress. It couldn't have been the happiness journal. Could it?
