Garden Pruning Day at the Sonoma Garden Park

Please join Ag + Open Space and Sonoma Ecology Center to learn about winter pruning of trees, shrubs and pollinator plants at Sonoma Garden Park. The garden has been community run for over 25 years and many of the fruit trees, pollinator and native plants thrived under volunteer care. Participants will participate in a pruning demonstration before joining in the pruning of the garden. Apply what you learn from the day to your own home while coming together as neighbors to care for the neighborhood's publicly-owned park.

Gloves, tools, and light refreshments provided. Feel free to bring your favorite pair of pruners or loppers and a handsaw. Please bring warm layers, closed-toed sturdy shoes, protective eyewear, and water.

There is no charge for this outing, as it is made possible by Sonoma County Ag + Open Space and the voters of Sonoma County who fund the districts' work with a quarter-cent sales tax.
