SR 520 PROJECT CONTROLS AND PROJECT STATUS
PRESENTED BY WALTER TARR
Mr. Tarr graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in engineering. Before graduating from high school he worked as a programmer for 3M. He has helped lead design, construction, and owner teams in the planning, design, and development of major capital projects for over 15 years. His technical expertise includes establishment of project controls systems, integration into existing client systems, maintenance of the systems, and training of client staff. He and his firm, TWG, specialize in developing and managing program and project-level controls including scheduling, cost reporting, project and program management systems, logistic plans, preconstruction services, contracts, and negotiations. Mr. Tarr currently leads project controls for the WSDOT's SR 520 Program and serves as a subject matter expert on risk management. He also frequently consults with WSDOT on state-wide systems development, funding management, and systems integration. His experience includes airports, major infrastructure, transportation, and specialized buildings. Mr. Tarr is a Senior Vice President of Tarr Whitman Group, providing project controls expertise to owners in the Pacific Northwest and California.

COST: The member price for this event is $28.00 if you register on or before the Monday immediately preceding the meeting; late registration is $33.00. Non-members will be charged $36.00 on or before the Monday immediately preceding the meeting, and $41.00 thereafter.

AACE Seattle Section meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from September through May (excluding December). Each meeting with a technical presentation qualifies for .25 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards your CCC/CCE/CEP/CFCC/EVP/PSP recertification requirements.
