The Art of Tarot Journaling: Archetypal Symbolism and Self Exploration for a Daily Practice
Trying to read Tarot weekly for ourself can be confusing and often unhelpful. Whether you are trying to learn the traditional meanings associated with the cards, develop your intuition or simply look for guidance, starting a journal is always incredibly useful. But journaling is more than storing informations on past readings in an analog way, and can become a transformative experience if we do it well, and on a regular basis. Journaling with the tarot allows us to reconnect in depth with our humanity in playful way, engage in a daily discipline and see our honest self with very simple poetic acts: writing, drawing, using colors, curating words and creating a pantheon of images in which we see ourself.
In this class, well learn how to step away from tarot as a divination practice and use the cards as an introspective tool, by defining a personal methodology at the intersection of art, psychology and a more holistic approach to tarot. Through practical exercises and experiments, well use the Tarot cards for free associations, automatic writings, collages and dream analysis. Well also learn how to plan a month worth of Tarot work around a syncretic calendar, to celebrate ourselves according to our own private traditions and Astrological phases.
As an experienced tarot reader, Laetitia is a firm believer in the empowering nature of the Tarot as a a visual tool to help us bring clarity to the complexity of life, providing information and insights to decisions were facing, or shining a light on options that we might not have considered.
