In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, & in consideration of the recent guidance from Governor Newsom & the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), the UC Master Gardeners of Monterey & Santa Cruz Counties are canceling all of our upcoming classes and events. This cancellation will remain in effect through April 30, 2020, & it will be updated as guidance from the state changes.
We realize that our classes & events are valued by our community, & we appreciate your continued support & understanding during this public health challenge. We will attempt to offer our canceled classes at a future time, and in the interim, we will post instructional gardening videos on our Facebook page.

Join instructor Amanda Franks as she teaches all stages of bee keeping to a variety of local students and home gardeners. Amanda raises and sells honey bees in her own hives, and also manages hives for others.
Amanda's class will discuss the benefits and wonder of honey bees, and how bees function in our communities. Amanda will bring an observation hive filled with honey bees, a Queen bee and honey comb which she uses to demonstrate various stages of honey bee development and honey production. And, yes, honey tasting will be offered!
Sign up early as the class is limited to 30 seats! The fee for this class is $5.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check-in or register for the class. A portion of the class will be held outside, a hat, sunscreen and layered clothing are advised.
