Flower Power Kids: MLK Jr. Service Day Project
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Norwalk Historical Society will be hosting, Flower Power Kids: MLK Jr. Service Day Project. This free family-friendly Service Day Project supports the Norwalk non-profit organization, ElderHouse Adult Day Center.
Date: Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 1:00pm 4:00pm
Location: Norwalk Historical Society Museum 141 East Ave. Norwalk, CT (Parking and museum entrance is accessed from the Norwalk City Hall Parking Area. Museum is in brick house with blue front doors, next to the Norwalk Health Dept.)
Drop in anytime between 1:00pm - 4:00pm! This free event will provide an outlet for children and adults to further Dr. Kings message of peace and love by making paper flowers bouquets and cards for the senior citizens of ElderHouse. In addition to the service project, children will get the opportunity to create peace flowers and learn more about Dr. Kings mission for peace, freedom and justice for all.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
If the event is canceled due to inclement weather, it will be rescheduled.
