Jane Lee Hooker at Stone Church w/ Social Medication
Fusing modern attitude with vintage swagger, Jane Lee Hooker exploded off the NYC club scene in 2013. Their rocket-fueled blues has won acclaim around the world. Jane Lee Hooker has lit up major stages worldwide including: Rockpalast in Germany, Mountain Jam, and The Big Blues Bender. This all-female blues/rock band combines decades of musicianship with passionate, firey live performances.
The band is currently previewing songs from their forthcoming third album on Ruf Records which will be released in Summer 2020 worldwide followed by a World Tour.
Social Medication is the re-unification of three local musicians who learned how to play music with each other while they were all growing up in Brattleboro.
This power trio features Tim Dyer on guitar and vocals, and Sean McLoughlin on drums and vocals, and Scott Griswold on bass. After studying at Berklee School of Music, Tim went on to play in the Austin, TX scene with heavy hitters such as Malford Milligan (Storyville), and Tommy Shannon (Stevie Ray Vaughan), then onto the Baltimore/D.C. scene, before making his way back to his hometown of Brattleboro, VT. Sean McLoughlin is a longtime member of the renowned local group, The Miles Band, and is revered for his skills as a percussionist and vocalist. Scott Griswold is known in the area as a versatile musician who fits seamlessly into most any band.
This band delivers high-powered guitar-driven blues rock and funk with a mix of classic covers to originals. After a couple of decades apart, Social Medication is back and is ready to rock.
