An ORANGE MANNEQUIN EVENT to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and honor COMITE MI GENTE. Sep. 21st @ 7 pm @ The Howland Cultural Ctr, Beacon, NY
Renowned Fender guitarist, Chris Crocco brings bold improvisational sounds with rapid and sultry play on his guitar, accompanied by 4 time music award drummer, Ian Froman. Expect this extraordinary drummer to lift the Howland - he's done it before! Finally, we add a fiery pianist, Leo Genovese, to our event. Leo is the pianist to Grammy Award winner Esperanza Spalding.
Visual artists Joe Pimentel and Rick Price will paint real time as the musicians perform. Pimentel and Price are both internationally recognized artists who bring unique energy and vibrant imagery to this experience. Artwork created on site that evening will be for sale at the conclusion of the performance, with a portion of the sale donated to Comité Mí Gente.
Comité Mí Gente is an outreach organization that provides guidance in healthcare, social services, immigration, and education. The organization collaborates with Hudson River Healthcare, The Howland Public Library, and the Dutchess County Arts Council to ensure a broad access of social services to our community. Buy a ticket to support Art + Community + Hispanic Heritage month. The Orange Mannequin assures your enjoyment as well as an experience to witness world class musicians intent on getting your attention!
