Tribal Harmony
The Howland Cultural Center, Beacon's unparalleled arts, cultural and entertainment venue, now celebrating its 40th Anniversary of enriching the cultural and social life of Beacon and the Hudson Valley, is proud to present 'Tribal Harmony', a celebration of Indigenous Culture with host Evan Pritchard, featuring Joan Henry with guest artist, Patrick Stanfield Jones and 'Sprited' with Dennis Yerry (piano), Ruperto Ifil (percussion), Rich Syracuse (bass), Tom DePetri (guitar), and Gus Mancini (sax)
Joan Henry has a sumptuous and searing voice that can draw down the moon or lift up your heart. She and her all-star ensemble, 'Spirited' will raise the bar of jazz excellence even great higher, with many great standards and originals, old to avant garde. Joan will also share stories and teachings from her several Native-American lineages.
