CityDance Summer Intensive Audition 2020 in Rockville
You don't have to go to NYC, Philadelphia or Brazil for world class intensives this summer. CityDance Summer Intensives bring professional artists from around the US and the world to you! CityDance Summer Intensives provide a challenging exploration of classical and contemporary techniques taught by Dance Theatre of Harlem, Koresh Dance Company and International Artists, as well as CityDance Ballet Master Stanislav Issaev.
CityDance Summer Intensives prepare young dancers for 21st century careers with specialized professional training, rich performance opportunities, and strong connections to the professional dance world.
Intensives are ideal for young dancers, ages 8-20, interested in a challenging exploration of classical and contemporary training with daily classes in ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary, jazz, and world dance. Other highlights include choreography workshops, partnering, and an exciting culminating performance showcase at the end of each two week intensive segment.
There are 6-8 weeks of intensives scheduled for the summer of 2020 and you can choose any of the two week segments. You can tailor your summer training to participate in one or all of our summer programs from June through August. One week experiences are also available.
Audition Classes on Monday, February 10th, will be taught by the Founding Artistic Director of School & Conservatory, Lorraine Spiegler, CityDance Conservatory Repetiteur and Faculty, Diana Amalfitano and other CityDance faculty.
AUDITION SCHEDULE Monday, February 10th, 2020
Ages 8-13 y.o.:
Check-in 4:00 - 4:30pm
Modern Contemporary 4:30 - 6:00pm
Ballet 6:00 - 7:30pm
Pointe 7:30 - 8:30pm
Ages 14-20 y.o.:
Check-in 4:00 - 4:30pm
Modern Contemporary 4:30 - 6:00pm
Ballet 6:00 - 7:30pm
Pointe 7:30 - 8:30pm
Please register here with $25 audition fee. Online registration is encouraged and will make the audition process more seamless, however the doors will be open for walk-in students ages 9-14 y.o. on February 10th. Please bring a headshot and a full body shot. These do not need to be professionally-done photos. Photos taken on phones are more than welcome!

DRESS CODE
Female: leotard, ballet tights, ballet shoes with elastic straps and/or pointe for ballet and pointe class. Leotard, black dance shorts/leggings and bare feet for contemporary.
Male: fitted black or white t-shirt or tank, men's tights, black or white ballet shoes
