WTS January Lunch Program - PSRC Vision 2050
Please join WTS for a lunch presentation on the Puget Sound Regional Council's VISION 2050 regional plan. The program will highlight key elements of the draft plan, which is scheduled for adoption in May 2020. By 2050, the central Puget Sound region is expected to add another 1.8 million people, reaching a population of 5.8 million. VISION 2050 is the regional plan for how and where development occurs and how the region supports efforts to manage growth within the four counties that comprise the central Puget Sound regionKing, Pierce, Snohomish, and Kitsap. VISION 2050 provides a framework for local and regional plans and emphasizes growth near an integrated regional high-capacity transit network of light rail, commuter rail, ferries, and bus rapid transit. The Puget Sound Regional Council (PSRC) is the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the central Puget Sound region, working with cities, counties, tribes, ports, and transit agencies on long-range growth, economic development and transportation planning and distributing over $260 million annually in federal transportation funding.
Networking begins at 11:30 am, the program begins at noon and ends at 1:00 pm.

Cost: $15 for students/public agency staff and DBE/MBE/WBE certified firms; $20 for WTS members; and $25 for WTS non-members (plus Brown Paper Tickets service fee).
